I've resolved that this year is going to be a growth year. I'm really going to push myself to learn and try new things. I haven't attempted proper realism since school, and I didn't have much fun with it back then. But now I'm ready to teach myself how to draw and paint more realistically.ΒSo anyway, here's my first proper attempt. It surprisingly turned out way better than I expected!
I'm planning to switch between landscapes and these face studies. Hopefully once I get the basics down I can start branching off to other studies and playing with color and style more.

I found the picture during a random google search for face models. Doing a reverse image search I found out her name is Ashley Moore. From what I can tell, she's a model for makeup and hair and such. This particular photo was used on several articles about a new highlighter.
