I think it's more the fact that the lighting inside the room does not affect how we can still see outside the window. Normally if the light comes from the outside, the model would not be so well lit, and if the model is well lit from the inside you shouldn't be able to see the outside so well.
The fact that you can see both the inside of the room and the outside so well makes it seem like there is no glass in the window.
