Something I did just for fun, which was to create a piece that featured many characters from Tim Burton's film as if it was a dream coming from his mind.Characters featured are:
Jack Skellington (Nightmare Before Christmas)
Vincent Malloy (Vincent)
Edward Scissorhands
The Martian Ambassador (Mars Attacks)
The Swamp Bottom Witch (Big Fish)
Beetlejuice
Emily (Corpse Bride)
The Headless Horseman (Sleepy Hollow)
Sweeney Todd
Lydia Deetz (Beetlejuice)
Bonejangles (Corpse Bride)
Zero (Nightmare Before Christmas)
Sparky (Frankenweenie)

I know those weren't his ideas. But since the general public seems to associate those images with him, I still put them in there plus those two movies rocked!
I'm surprised you didn't mention Mars Attacks coming from a card game, Batman based on a comic book, and Sleepy Hollow being based on a short story by Washington Irving.
