i actually really love that statement "she is my friend"...........i have a snapping turtle in the water behind my house that i call my friend, i never bother her, she never bothers me, and i feed her sometimes.

Animals are better pals than humans.
This camel even gets jealous when I give more attention to other camels or some animal wants attention from me. She gets mad and because of that I sometimes get hurt. They are big animals, after all.

i agree with you, and I am a firm believer in the idea that animals have a natural instinct for knowing if you mean them harm or not. There is a big snapping turtle in the water behind my property, and once she was making her way back from laying her eggs in the ground. To make sure no one would bother her, I sat on the ground with her and helped her when she got too tired to walk any more. Now, she could bite my hands off, but never got aggressive. Why? Because I am sure she knew I was there as a friend.
