I figured out most of the CSS, but I can't figure out how to add a pic to the top of my journal.

i decided that because i had a subby it was time to go looking for a new journal skin/CSS. well, i did and i found this one:[link]
when someone asked the artist about it they said "...It is still easier to download and use, you can then save it on your install folder!" How do i do that? I looked in my journal and i can't find the CSS menu you pasted into in your tutorial! Please help me.

Hey, I just got a subscription and I'm trying to figure out how to add CSS to my journal; making it all pretty and all that crap.

I can't really figure it out, I know I need to put that code, but I need to personalize the code or something? ...

Help! Please and thanks.

Where do you get the tag names for the tags on the journal pages to apply Css to the Journel?

how do you mean by "Tags?" or do you mean the whole code?

The whole code. (whatever that is!) Do you know how to put pictures to your Css?

yes and basically the code is contained in the same way downloadable content is from deviantart, have a look through different css styles and if you find one you like, look to the left and there should be a download button, download and unzip and open it in notepad and hey presto there is your code as for pictures there are a few ways to do it.

How about you link me to one you like and if you have msn add me thetrickster@gmail.com and ill go through a one to one with you on how to do it

actually when it's your first time to add CSS, that CSS box isn't there. you need to activate it. maybe you should show that part too?

I would show that if there was a way to reset the css field to nothing, but whenever i go to that part the css is always there.

maybe get help from someone who hasn't used CSS yet but also subscribed? hmm.. or just mention that for that box to appear you need to click a link and say yes so it activates? still this is a useful tutorial =]

I really liked the idea of a Flsh Tutorial, it gives it a professional edge. The loading bar at the beginning also helped to add to this.

For improvements: You don't tell people how to "Select All". Tutorials always work best if they are idiot proof, so perhaps putting in something like "Select All by going..." would further improve that section.

It would also be nice to see the actual final product so to speak, it would just finish off the tutorial in a more rounded way and also would add to the professionalism if it ended with seeing how the CSS would look.

I really enjoyed this, I'd love to see more tutorials made through Flash.

Yeah ill try and fix that so you can view the final piece finished, even if it is one of my older journals. Thanks for the feedback steph.
