This was a very nice tutorial, with example images that demonstrate their points rather well. Were the actual tutorial here, I would fav it. I myself am decent with paint, but many could use this, and It could help me if I chose to use paint.

That's a great pic. Thanks for the tutorial, since I'm one who uses MS Paint for all my work. Sadly I need a tutorial that explains to me how to figure out where to put shades and lighting effects. *sniffle* I feel color blind when it comes to trying to move beyong one shot coloring!

Oh goody!! See I know how to work MS Paint...my problem just lies in coloring, no matter what the program is, or even by hand. (My friend can do stunning color work with just color pencils!)I just don't have the eye to see how to color beyond flat one dimension colors...I can certainly appreciate it in other's works, and envy their skills! I mean I have friends always telling me I should try to move on to shading and light sourcing, but they don't seem to get it when I say I don't know how to do it. I really do feel like I am color blind when it comes to doing that. I am clueless when it comes to understanding where to put the other shades so my pic won't be so flat.

your predicament makes me think. I wish there were a good way to teach it... people learn different ways and maybe his style will get you on your way.
