Description
The TIE/AW commonly referred to as the TIE Sentry was a modified TIE/SA made to provide Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) also called AWACs. The craft is equipped with an airborne radar system designed to detect spacecraft, ships, missiles, and other incoming projectiles at long ranges and perform command and control of the battlespace in an air or space engagement by directing fighter and attack craft strikes.Credits-
