Wow, you LIVE in Kandersteg? You're so lucky! I mean, obviously it's very small, but that's how I like it! Such an incredibly beautiful area...

Well, I was only in Kandersteg quite briefly I suppose. It's amazing to see Oeschinensee frozen, I went out on it in a rowing boat!
Just so you know, I've been to the Lauterbrunnen and Loeschental (spelling?) valleys, to Leukerbad (from the Loeschental valley across the Rosti Rothorn pass), Grindelwald, St. Moritz, Geneva, Zermatt (I walked up to the Hornlihutte at 3200m) Bern, various places in Ticino, and the mountains around Saanen. I love Switzerland, it's so gorgeous! Especially the mountains, of course.

simply put this is absolutely stunning. the expansiveness and the humble feeling one gets when looking at this. makes you feel so small and insignificant. nature really does a great job of this and you have done a great job capturing it. i would love to see a nighttime hdr shot of that town. great capture, really is an awesome photograph
