Masquerade! Hide your face so the world will never find you!
So, I really couldn't help myself.
I take a small measure of pride in the fact that I don't do a lot of fan art, but in honor of Halloween and the new contest being held at the Disney club *DisneyDreamers , I was drawn to give in and answer the contest prompt. *DisneyDreamers 's new contest is to do a Disney Masquerade theme, so I jumped at the chance when I got this idea. Three of my favorite princesses, Ariel, Jasmine, and Snow White, dressed up as the villian from their movie.
Ariel as Ursula was too much fun-- designing the costume for her was definitely the most difficult, since I had to figure out how to represent the tentacles. I also gave Ariel puffy sleeves to represent Ursula's horrible rolls of fat on her arms. 
Dressing Jasmine as Jafar was a bit of a controversy, but she ended up working that costume like a charm. Jasmine looks better than Jafar in that outfit. The Snow White here is the first time I've drawn her since I was about six, and it was quite moving to try and get her as close as possible to feeling like her gorgeous design in the movie. She's a little sweetheart, and the Evil Queen's black and intimidating garb doesn't make her look any less adorable than she is.It was quite a lot of fun to do. I've got a while to wait for the contest to judge the entries, but I wanted to get it done early for Halloween.

I must confess, these aren't my favourite Disney princesses, but this is my favourite picture I've seen today. Wow, it's really beautiful.
I love the idea behind it, and the outfits you've designed for the girls are beautiful. Ariel's is a particularly beautiful design, you can really see you had fun with it.
I really like the way you draw figures, I love the shape of all the girls legs. They all look so sexy and pretty, but also look unique and different from each other. I love their expressions, especially Jasmine's confident air.

You have accomplished one of my favorite things: an adorable picture with great expressions, loyalty to the original work, AND AWESOME LITTLE TOUCHES THAT MAKE ME SQUEE.
Likthe headdress that Ariel is wearing looking like Ursula's hair, and the shell necklace. And keeping Jasmine's tiara-type-thing but, but changing the band and the stone to fit the costume And Snow White's skin is lighter than the mask... GAH! asldkjakldja.......
Plus, Snow White's pose is just the most freaking adorable thing I have ever seen.

fantastic! ingeniuos idea. i like how ariel's came out (haha, funny about the arm fat XD)
we share the same three! ariel reigns supreme to me, then jasmine/snow white, following with belle...cinderella is the loswest of the low of any disney character though ha.
i love the animation of snow white, it was really incredible.

the little mermaid really brought the magic back to disney and paved the way for a number of giant hits. i think one of the main things that really got me was all the motion; the bubbles, the flowing hair, tons of sea creatures- there was always SOMETHING moving and that's really fun
haha, well cinderella isn't the lowest of the low i guess, but she never really interested me. i liked her dress well enough lol.
i miss the style old animation where people weren't so cartooney, or if they were they moved like a real person. i'm sure it took so much patience to get them so life like but it made it so worth it. disney did really well on the animation in cinderella III i have to say.

Let's face it, everything's great about The Little Mermaid.
Oh, how I miss the old animation style, too! It was simply majestic. ^^ Did they really do a good job on Cinderella III? Once I saw The Little Mermaid II, I swore never to watch another Disney sequel.

you're right on that, cinderella did a good job of showing subtle emotions and overall life-like movements.
haha, so did i! the little mermaid is my world and i was beyond excited when i heard they were making a sequel to it..then i watched it 
have you heard about the Little Mermaid III? it will be the LAST direct to DVD sequel (hopefully ALL sequels). the animation is off, it doesn't look like the original or the second, but it doesn't look too horrible. i know it'll only be so/so but they're going to have a little more on the sisters, which is cool. i've heard rumors disney might release a Disney Mermaids DVD with all new animation of either new mermaids or ariel's sisters! that could be interesting.

Hmm I may just rent Cinderella III, then. ^^ Heh Maybe. I think I've heard tell of a Little Mermaid III-- I think one of my Disney Anniversary DVDs has a sort of sneak peek at a small scene in the movie-- but overall I haven't tried looking into it. It's good to know there might be more on her sisters, though! I've always thought Disney overlooked the potential of the sisters, but I guess now they might be capitalizing on it with the whole Mermaids DVD thing.
