Masquerade! Hide your face so the world will never find you!
So, I really couldn't help myself.
I take a small measure of pride in the fact that I don't do a lot of fan art, but in honor of Halloween and the new contest being held at the Disney club *DisneyDreamers , I was drawn to give in and answer the contest prompt. *DisneyDreamers 's new contest is to do a Disney Masquerade theme, so I jumped at the chance when I got this idea. Three of my favorite princesses, Ariel, Jasmine, and Snow White, dressed up as the villian from their movie.
Ariel as Ursula was too much fun-- designing the costume for her was definitely the most difficult, since I had to figure out how to represent the tentacles. I also gave Ariel puffy sleeves to represent Ursula's horrible rolls of fat on her arms. 
Dressing Jasmine as Jafar was a bit of a controversy, but she ended up working that costume like a charm. Jasmine looks better than Jafar in that outfit. The Snow White here is the first time I've drawn her since I was about six, and it was quite moving to try and get her as close as possible to feeling like her gorgeous design in the movie. She's a little sweetheart, and the Evil Queen's black and intimidating garb doesn't make her look any less adorable than she is.It was quite a lot of fun to do. I've got a while to wait for the contest to judge the entries, but I wanted to get it done early for Halloween.

Ariel-
First the dress is genius. Using the streams for tentacles. Wow. What I loved about it was that you used the shell she held Ariel's voice in as decorations. The corset/dress could have very well have belonged to Ursula during her "thinner" days. P.S. I love Ariel's hair. It's perfect.
Jasmine-
She totally makes Jafar's outfit high fashion (**watched way to many ANTM marathons**) First, it was such a sweet idea to make the neck collar into a deep v cut. Second, using her hair instead of the hat. . .seriously, how did you come up with that??? And third, the shoes are phenom! I highly doubt anybody but that Arabian Diva could have pulled that off. BUT, the thing I believe makes it is staff that pulls the skirt up. LIke I said, High fashion.
Snow-
She is one of my least favorite princess, sorry. But I could love her like that.

Ahaha that's awesome. I love the costume you made for Ariel. So very cool. The only thing with this deviation is the size. If it were a tad larger it would be easier to take in somehow if that makes sense.

Yeah, the file is strangely small; I left it at 1000 x 599 pixels, and I thought that would be big enough, but I guess it really isn't.

Oo I think I know what your problem is. Go to Edit Deviation. There should be a dropdown menu that lets you choose the size your deviation will display in fullview. It's probably not on original size right now.

oh, the idea and execution on this are just so ingenious. <3 I love Ariel as Ursula in particular, she's got so much Ariel-ness in her face, even though she's drawn in your style, and that COSTUME. how do you think up such things?! Jasmine makes a kickass Jafar, and I agree with you that Snow White is adorable and she gets no love. it's annoying. good on you for giving her some attention.

Do you mind if I expand on this idea? I'm not in the club, so I won't be doing this for the contest, but it's an interesting idea and I'd love to do a few of the other female characters in this way.

Well, I have Aurora in mind with the whole Maleficent thing. I think she'd look pretty cool in that. I was thinking about Belle, but the only main enemy in Beauty and the Beast is Gaston...hmm, I'll think of something for her. But right now, I only really have Aurora in mind.
