Essentially, this is vent art. I tried to disguise it as a vaguely character-driven drawing of my water girl, Talise (as seen in The Element of Water [link] ), since I don't like looking my problems in the face through doing art, but... yeah, this is vent art. As much as I resist it, though, I must admit there has been a bit of a release."Oh my love, don't forget me

Your grasp of anatomy - particularly facial anatomy - is more outstanding than ever, clearly all that lifedrawing is paying off. This is a tricky expression to capture with realism - at least for me - and I think you did amazingly, particularly with the angle. There's definitely a powerful sense of emotion here, mirrored by that crashing wave and the wildness of her hair.
And I totally know what you mean, only a small portion of my vent art has ever made it online, namely the more abstract stuff. >_> I hope stuff is okay though. Let me know if you want to hang out or go do something to destress! ♥

Everyone needs to vent at times, whether it's vocally, written, or expressed artistically. I think it's all kinds of beautiful. I love all the tones in her skin, and her expression... just floors me. Emotional, touching. Fantastic work.
