Connections
Two asian teenagers who lived in a realistic world akin to our own. While living in their original world, they were unhappy with their lives due to problems with their parent(s).
Their lives would drastically change when they were transported to a magical fantasy world.
While in said fantasy world, they would reconnect with an old friend from the same realistic world as them (Anne/Yuuki), but at the same time they would also harbor a dark secret from them (Marcy being the exact reason why her friends were stuck in Amphibia, while Karyl was secretly working for Yuuki’s worst enemy).
Both worked as the right hand man for rulers of a kingdom (Andrias/Kaiser) who were actually manipulating them for their own gain, who they also eventually rebel against.
This led to them getting controlled by the villains as a result of the villains furthering their goals, leading to the two overcoming their personal struggles in their own mind before they were finally freed thanks to the help of their friends.
Both aren't really physical fighters, instead prefering towards using special magical abilties.
Both also have anime style transformations (Calamity Form/Princess Form).
Both are Hunter opponents.
