Real Name: Kurt Pastorius

First Appearance: Generation-X: The Film
Last Appearance: Generation-X: The Film
Powers: Heat vision, X-Ray vision
Story Then: A member of Generation-X, a group of young mutants lead by Banshee and Emma Frost. Refrax was the group's pratical joker, but was serious about his feelings for Arlee (Buff). He and the rest of Generation-X defeated the mad scientist, Dr. Tresh.

Story Now: After an altercation between Buff and some of their teammates the two left Generation-X. Years later he is found by former X-Man, Spyke and S.H.E.I.L.D. agent Buzz Mason working as a bouncer for a mutant's only night club.

Mason told him about forming a new team of mutants. Refrax joins after he discovers Buff is joining as well. After recruiting other mutants, they went to the town of Skull Mesa. Refrax is now a member of X-Works.
