Description
In this timeline D-Day failed due to terrible weather, as a result the allies couldn't open a second front in France and the Soviets were forced to deal with the European axis on their own. At the peace conference Stalin demanded the lion's share and the allies weren't in a position to argue, northern Italy and most of Germany were handed over while the Rhineland was given to France as compensation. This led to serious repercussions post-war: with their new strength the Soviets refused to pull out of northern Iran instead setting up puppet states there, in response the Chinese nationalists were given unconditional support and won the civil war at the expense of losing Manchuria and Turkestan.
With new found strength and dominance the USSR is far more belligerent in the cold war.
