Well, I decided to try to find my own cartoon style. The base is me as a child (buzz cut hair and buck teeth were my main features).I tried out a few different expressions and head shapes. Obviously my first drawing came out kinda fail. It looks like an inflated elf. This is how we learn.

EDIT: I forgot about my freckles... as a kid my face was covered in them.

interesting i see your doing a more care free type of style. i think i like the bottom left ones head shape the most. i should tell you that the average highly styled drawing i believe is 3.5 heads tall. and its probably not a bad idea to read this hipster with legitimately good advices curriculum.
