Moustache Mug! That's just awesome ^^. And it looks like Sherlock is ignoring Lestrade's phone call, poor guy.
I love the references to other Holmes stories . And the hair! How did you draw the hair? I keep trying, but I always end up with an epic fail. Stupid adorable curls, they're too hard to draw .

Thank you! It was a lot of fun thinking up bits from the original stories to put in. :3

The hair is quite difficult to get right, I know. I don't know how good a job I do of drawing it, but I find the best way is to draw a relatively clean outline, and not get distracted by too many of the individual curls. I don't know if that helps you...?

Silver Blaze is one of my favourite stories, how cool would it be to see some bits of that in the new series.
Does the picture in the envelope refer to "A scandal in Bohemia"? Like when Irene sent Sherlock her picture after she had outwitted him?

It's a great one, isn't it? Silver Blaze, I mean. There are so many of the original stories I'd like to see come up in the new series. Knowing that there are going to be more episodes, it's exciting to imagine which ones will be used, isn't it? (...Or maybe that's just a nerdy 'me' thing...) For now, I'm just happy that the meeting between Holmes and Watson in A Study in Scarlet has finally be filmed!

You're right; the picture does refer to A Scandal in Bohemia. You can't see it very well, but it's actually supposed to show Irene Adler. :3

It's at least a nerdy "us" thing because I'm really curious which stories they are going to use and how they are going to adapt them. And when some little reference to one of the original stories popps up in the TV series I always get really happy and proud, in a very nerdy way, because I caught the reference.
Oh yes, the first meeting, it was so cool to see that made into film. And they did it perfectly.
I wonder if they are going to bring Irene Adler in too. I mean they almost have too, in a way... But I hope they don't make it like in the Guy Ritchie movie. That didn't work for me, somehow.
