I am trying to teach myself how to do movement and perspective, anyway you could give me some pointers?

sure! I think starting w/ the basics is the key, meaning, breaking the figure into basic shapes that can be drawn easily and quickly (geometric shapes). once you do that and get comfortable then it's time to learn how joints move, how it flexes and turn. Don't draw details just do quick gesture studies and movement studies, very rough sketches with geometric shapes.
it takes time to learn but it's worth it.
