Description
Euphoria was the original title. It came to me as I created the dreaming face upside-down on the top. The interesting ideas behind my not-so-modest piece are primarily the creation of various textures, shapes and surfaces. The Image is more random than you might think, reflecting mainly my mood and the music I listended to while working.
Created primarily to show off what I am capable of, I recommend users to press the "download" button in the top right corner and zoom in on some of the details--they had my art-teacher gawking for a bit!
It is made on offscale paper slightly above A1 formate, and solely with ink and the finest pens available (o.o5mm).
The process itself took in between 50-70 hours, give or take.
Do give me feedback and criticism, please. I need it to develop myself!

Yes. I find having 6 close-ups necessary, as even the download scarcely show off what a tremendous detail-natzi i am!

yEah, he mentioned his brother's fascination. Always glad that my pieces are well received!
The main source of inspiration however, came from a piece of Gothic 2 fan art, depicting a bestial smile in the dark -highlighting a hidden path to a particularly creepy cellar with some slightly demonic inhabitants.
Picture is otherwise unrelated to Gothic 2, which is an old classical RPG, in case you wonder.

Good idea. I think only another artist can fully appreciate the detail and technique in a drawing, that and of course the high res fans . This must be an epic drawing, A1 size!! I too strive for more and more detailed stuff, but most of my drawings are in A4 or smaller. The slightly bigger ones, "Solitude" and "Dreams Of Insanity", might be of interest to you, please check them out and give a comment!
Both are drawn on A3, but i really like to draw precisely.

Thanks for the interpretation!
It certainly came from the same spot as nightmares come from- although my nightmares are usually about mad doctors about to dissect me for my organs, or something...there may be some line between that and the syringe in the heart in the bottom.

The way you do things is Unforgettable, for me any way. If you feel neglected by your fellows don`t forget that your art is outstanding. In a too conveluted way for them to understand it. That leads them to overlook your pieces. Only cause they don`t want to feel stupid by not understanding the message you want to share with the world trough your art. Keep beeing true twords yourself and the rest will sort it self out eventually.

Thanks!
I still felt that the full image is in too poor resolution for all the details- the pen tecnique primarily, so i made a few close-up snapshots as well

Reminds me of disturbed as well, but the true inspiration comes from some fan-art of Gothic2 where the similar left-turning smile is used to illustrate some scary things hiding in a diabolic basement.
