I'm writing my own version of the Momswapped AU, where each chapter is an AU version of each episode. I was thinking of what the dialogue for On The Run would be, and this picture and your description gave me an idea or two...uh, may I use your image and description as inspiration for that chapter?Β

I think they meant "So being an era 1 gem is worse than being defective?" not really, at least Peridot is WANTED by Homeworld, she may be defective in retrospect but she's an era 2 Peridot, so there are others like her, while there are no other defective amethyst's, so Amethyst basically only has Steven to talk to about this stuff, if Homeworld accidentally creates defective gems, they destroy them, but in this case they are running low on materials so they knew they were gonna be making defective Peridot's, however they gave them a chance because A: They probably are in need of many tech gems. And 2: Peridot's are not meant to be warriors, Amethyst is strong in her own way but if she couldn't even defeat Jasper or even PERIDOT on her own, then how is she expected to fight in a war? I think those are the only two reasons era 2 Peridot's are allowed to live.
