So. This was my first attempt (of what's sure to be many) at drawing Mello. You'll notice he has eyebrows. Yeah, that's not going to happen again. (He--and pretty much all of the rest of the chars in Death Note--is never shown to have them. How weird is that?) I used a ref, which I'll be doing until I get used to drawing him, but in the ref he had his scar and I didn't feel like drawing it, so...I didn't. I also didn't feel like coloring in his black clothes, 'cause that takes too long, or making the feathers on his jacket actually look like feathers. He looks about ten times younger in my version, probably because he's less pointy. I DON'T LIKE DRAWING ANIME-STYLE. So I won't. I guess it'll be that much harder to get comfortable with the Death Note guys.
