Yeah, it happens Ladybug is a French/Japanese coordination, France makes the 3D series, Japan has the 2D OVAs.

I really wish so too but given that it would most likely be toei who would animate, I'm happy with the 3D animation after seeing Sailor Moon Crystal ;o;
