Uhm...... so there is a story behind this picture.
I should get this out of the way right here: I LOVE Gillian Anderson. XD She is just awesome.
THAT BEING SAID... this picture was a BITCH to draw. First of all, I don't draw people, in case you haven't noticed. But the assignment was to draw a portrait, so... I sucked it up and decided to give it my best shot. XD And forced myself into doing so by not wanting to make Gillian look fugly. Because she so is not.
So, the shirt. Let's not talk about it. I ended up having to do the whole shirt the night before this thing was due, since I spent so damn long on her face. I don't really want to talk about it, except to say that it turned out horribly, but if you squint a little or look from far away it's okay. XD Oh yeah, and the colors in this thing are a bit off, as usual. Things always look so much better in real life. D: EDIT: oh, and the hand was DEATH. :/ [/whine]

I know everything that's wrong about this picture. I can spot all the little errors, especially in the lower part of her face/jaw, eegads. x_X So, yeah, I'm going to go ahead and disable critique because I already know what's wrong with this and I spent too damn long to go back and try and fix. I AM DONE. XD It took probably well over 20 hours in all, I think. I had finished it awhile ago but like I said, my teacher has only just uploaded some photos today (:

I tried not to mangle her too badly.. Maybe I should have drawn someone I love a little less for my first portrait like this. XD

I think I got the ref from GAWS .
