I really like the classic and old world feel of this picture. The light usage is amazing and really gives off an atmosphere, sort of like a Vermeer (the map theme helps too). That said, I think you could have worked a little more on the glass bottle, especially since it's in a spot where it will have a lot of interesting reflections. But really, this is quite amazing.

A fine example of chiaroscuro! One thought you might consider is that ancient scrolls had one or two cylindrical posts, sometimes with handles, that supported and protected the papyrus or parchment from damage. This detail might prove to be very interesting as it would likely have writing or symbols carved into it. Just a thought.

Very well done. The lighting is great, and a fantasy still-life is something I don't see very often. I really like the color scheme as well.
