I was feeling kind of down when I came across this, and something about it lifted my mood e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/> I think it's a very successful and beautiful piece. Everything about it works well together, the clear highlight to me being the gorgeous coloring of the skin tones. I love the spots where her skin almost shines through as purple, and then only a little further down fades into a warmer tone with traces of red. The background works really well for its sparseness and looseness, and the hair on its own is pretty delightful. All of these things, the liveness and energy of almost every element, work together with the contemplative expression of the figure in a way that comes across with an incredible amount of charm, and seeing that you did this as just a speed study strikes me as impressive to say the very least.
