At first, I couldn't say if it was 3D or 2D. Awesome !

This character has more the feel of a peasant militiaman than your average soldier, considering he is armed with mostly wooden armor and a door of it's hinges as an improvised shield/weapon.
I still like the overall concept, would fit in a game where the tone is more comical than all-out serious.

honestly didn't go too much think into this, it was merely a texturing practice. the whole design was taken from the concept itself! check out the 3d version in the description in interested, because the whole point is the texture
