Apophysis AV Phoenix EditionAs you know, the Apophysis project was abandoned long ago. But I think that it still alive, as long as people use it. Of course, there are many other fractal flame editors, which are in development. Like Apophysis, they can render nice pictures, but no one of them has so user-friendly interface and so many editing tools. And I am a little offended that such a wonderful application was forgotten by some users. So I decided to create a new branch and name it Apophysis AV. I released it two days ago. The branch is also called “Phoenix Edition”, hinting that the project was reborn from the ashes. This software combines the best options of previous branches (including 3D-support), some of which were lost in the development process, and has multiple bugfixes (including nasty multithreading and rendering issues from 7X.15C - 16).Besides, Apophysis AV has some additional features, such as:+ New built-in variations (affine3D, inversion3D, hourglass3D, trianglecrop, etc.);+ Customizing variations execution order for each transform;+ Fully functional 3D-rotation around all axes (Pitch, Yaw and Roll angles);+ A list of predefined math constants which can be inserted in any (active) numeric field of the Transform Editor;+ Pre- and post-linked transforms now have descriptive names that automatically appear in the corresponding field, and the structure of probabilistic transitions is preserved when adding a new transformation;+ Arrow buttons to editing numerical values (use Alt / Shift / Ctrl hotkeys to adjust the precision);+ Writing and reading flame parameters from an image (inspired by the JK Mods Apophysis branch);+ New tools to transform triangles and color gradients (see context menus);+ Extended script editor with code templates, smart auto-completition and a lot of new methods (e.g. for post-transforms and morph animation) - some script examples are included;+ Making screenshots of some windows (available from the system menu);+ Different styles for GUI look and feel (including dark themes);+ Conversion of old flame parameters (containing such variations as rings, waves, popcorn, fan etc.) on the fly;+ Many other useful options and Easter eggs.You can download the executable file from the official page:sourceforge.net/projects/apoph…Of course, the application is not perfect (because I am not a professional developer), but I hope you'll like it. #apophysis #fractal...
