She was a character in a line of books by Serendipity Press.
A little gray pegasus that hatched from a cocoon one autumn night.
My mother used to read me this story and made a baby blanket with her image (before i was born)
Now I can read it to my baby girl.
There is a sequel story called Glitterby Baby.
Flutterby flies farther than she ever has before, lands among normal horses, spends time with them, mates with their Mustang leader and becomes pregnant. Glitterby is tan with itty bitty wings and cannot fly.
I won't tell you the rest, you gotta have a little to look up.
