Description
Tried to bare foot WW this time around. I had seen a couple of people do it and wanted to see what 'my' version would look like. All and all, its okay, but I'll have to draw them feet like a hundred more times to get used to the idea!! Also, I think I went a little mental with the armor details......but just a little.Related content

I kindof like the idea of bare feet and fingers with shin protection. Something about it feels very "gladiatorial", which puts me in mind of Amazons. Interesting design.Β

Thanks, Kris Anka (X-Men) told me that the only WW is a barefooted one, just for that reason. I told him he was nuts, but he insisted I draw her that way....and he was right. Thats why he makes the big bucks.

That armor looks like it was manufactured on Cybertron!

Hahah! Yeah, I do a lot of WW. You can thank Kris Anka for that one! He's very adamant about WW having bare feet for that Grecian gladiator fighter look. I told him he was crazy, until i drew this one......
and of course, Anka was right. ANNNNNNKA!!!!!!

This is I think my favorite wonder woman re-design. You incorporated an ancient Greek feel with a modern twist wonderfully. I've always thought that her costume should be more of a reference to her roots than some star-spangled panties. Β Really beautifully drawn and colored too by the way. Excellent work!

I'm really proud of that one as well. She's really evolving well for me.

Beautiful design. Honestly, I think I'd prefer sandals with this particular look, but overall it looks great!

Thanks!!
I'm still on the fence about bare feet, I kinda like the look, but I want to tinker some more and see what happens. Its almost there!

Just a skosh too much segmentation on the armor for my taste, but otherwise brilliant. Love the blue tunic that rides from the should, under the armor and onto the skirt. Love it!

When I do segmentation like that in armor, I think about how flexible the armor is and how it disperses blows to it. Like a funky web, where it cradles in an attack and expands out the force throughout the plates, so at any given time, WW never takes a full attack because the armor disperses it.
You know comic-booky stuff!

this works pretty well with your Donna Troy. I still get a New Gods/Kirby vibe from these two.

Totally feeling that with her armor now. Very Fourth World, yeah.

and it works, DC should really tie in more of its mythological characters with the 4th World.

She's getting there. A few more tweaks and she'll be right on.
Thanks, man!

Your WW is stunning as always, but I still prefer her with boots or shoes, but the concept is interesting (she could wear that on her island for example ) Don't forget to check out my page, I posted redesigns for Raven, Superman, Batman, and a Valiant Comics piece

Kris Anka nudged me towards the feet thing. I'm still on the fence. I like the gladiatorial aspect of the feet thing, gives her a neat warrior's sense, which I like.
Feet. I dunno.

Now that I've found like "MY" version of her, she's so much fun to draw. I'm still tinkering but, man, I think she's there...for me!
