Dazzler, based offa Kris Anka new fancy-smancy redesign.
I went Pat Benatar/Debbie Harry with my inspiration with her. But to be honest, I’m torn with her ‘new’ new look. I just think its such a vast lurch over the spectrum (if that makes sense), but man it’s still cool looking.

I love this redesign. I wish this was cannon. I mean, I love Kris Anka, but his Dazzler is just bad. It's so ugly, so impractical, so NOT Alison Blaire. This takes everything they were shooting for and makes it... You know... Bearable.

Damn. I like this. It beats most of the designs I've ever seen for her. It feels tough, confident and like it was something a person would wear. If only they wrote her character like that.

SO Underutilized. Was really hoping that the whole Agent of SHIELD thing would have worked out, it would have a least been interesting, beyond her kidnapping.

If the most interesting thing you can do to a character with that much history is kidnap her and replace her with one of the most over-used characters then you are doing both fans and the characters a grave disservice.

I like this version of Dazzler.
She's like P!NK.
She looks edgy, but not dark and damaged like her current look in the comics.

Maybe when Dazzler mellows out, she'll probably look like your version...or at least resemble it.
But she seriously needs to lose the black dye job, and the dress in the comics.
I mean yeah, she's pissed.
But that does not mean she has to go all emo.
We already had one cheerful Marvel character go through that, and his name was "Speedball".

But the good news is that he ditched the Penance costume, and went back to his cheerful self.
Mostly because the rebuilt town that Nitro exploded in forgave Speedball, and probably made a statue of him in his honor.
