Description
The last design to be produced by Maunsell would be the Q class, an 0-6-0, in the late '30s, they did have some interesting foibles mainly on the boiler, but they are also unique in their tender having a different frame to other Maunsell Tenders.Interestingly a further 20 were built under Oliver Bullied, but these had different chimneys and blastpipes these being, Lemaitre and Stovepipe, but under BR they would be given the Std 4 chimney design.
Only one survives this being on the Bluebell.
