Actually if he is french, "place" is not really surprising, it's a common translation error because in this kind of sentences we (french) use "place" with the same meaning as "space"... I wasn't stroke by the mistake myself till I read the comments xD
Beside, I think this work is great, we see too many unfinished or abandoned buildings that demanded to uproot trees for nothing and will pollute the environnement for many years ahead...

That is very true! which is why I appreciate this artist's work so much, it is targeted and has a definite, focused purpose... unlike most [3rd rate] graffiti, which is over busy, crowded and confusing...
I'm not one for saying the world should be a canvas.. but in a place like LA where I am, interesting, well thought out art would be a welcome change from the random lettering and gang related crap I always see, does that make sense?
