I've learned that many of the people who actually work on MLP episodes are fans of GF. What's the draw? I've not watched the show, but I've seen trailers, and it doesn't seem all that great.

I find that capturing a show's characteristic body language and gestures is harder than staying true to a model sheet. Fortunately with static art, you're encouraged to deviate from the beaten path in that regard.

With this license I have to stay true to the model sheet, unlike Hasbro where I can draw the characters however I want. Still, these characters, and what I saw was possible in the show, still leaves me a lot of room to be creative.
