Description
From being a simple doodle to a complete painting I bring you my first Toothless painting. Not bad. I tried a whole new approach where I did the shading first then added the colors and details. Overall I only had 5 layers. (Oh, and this is before he meets Hiccup. So that's why he can fly without him.)Comments? Critiques?

Since this is before he met Hiccup, It makes sense. Only, it doesn't look like it's at Berk. Plus his arm looks a bit long but anyway. It does look really good. And his eyes are so Toothless. Plus the water is really cool too. The trees look a bit blurry, but then again they are in the background so never mind. It's good that his back spikes aren't too big, since this is before the first movie so yeah. The sunset looks brilliant too. You could have added a cave in the mountainside that could be his cave, but that's just my opinion.

Well before I start this I LOVE Toothless.... So already I love it.
Vision: I like how this is before toothless's fake tail because I do. Also the water is very good and I like the fleet of ships in the background.
Originality: Honestly, I have not seen a toothless drawing like this before so very original
Technique: The technique is flawless. I cant not find one flaw in this piece at all it is so amazing. The detail is amazing from the shading to the texture to the Perspective its just so amazing. I love the technique because it is so exsquisete
Impact: This piece has an impact of toothless flying free and that's why I like It so much
Overall this piece is so amazing and this is going in "The toothless Collection" Because it is so awesome!

I simply adore this drawing! The colors and shades are very well blended when it comes to Toothless. The ocean does look a BIT sloppy, but I still love the way it looks. The boats in the distances was a very nice touch, as so was the sun touching the horizon. I love the fainted clouds in the pink, dusty sky! It gives the whole atmosphere of this drawing kind of a serene feel. I noticed that Toothless didn't have his fake fin on his tail, so I am guessing this was based before his encounter with Hiccup? Or possibly a mistake. I'm not sure. C: But either way, I love the detail in this. There is only one more thing I'm not to sure about in this picture, and that would be the extension of his right arm, and the shortness of his left arm. It may be bent or something, and its hardly noticable. I was just curious as to whether it was bent or that was yet another mistake.
Please keep up the good work! I love this drawing in general, and honestly, its one of the most realistic yet cute drawings of Toothless depicted as far as I'm concerned.

This is just very beautiful,I love how you did the detail on Toothless.He looks like he does in the movie.And the water is very pretty to.The grass on the ledge is very realistic, infact this whole seen looks very real!The scene overall is what is the most breath taking,I'm astonish at how well it looks.The boats in the background are what make the ocean not feel empty,and Toothless,his eye's are very nicely and carefully shaded.Most of my attion shoots straight to Toothless.(wich I'm sure thats what you wanted).I hope that I get good enough to draw like this some day,very nicely done!e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c⦠" width="20" height="20" alt="

This is wonderful. You did a really good job on the lighting underneath Toothless. The worst part is probably the water - but when I say 'worst' I mean 'least best'. The water still is very good, and I could never hope to do something like this. Favourite!
