Watching Captain Planet was an interminable half-hour, can we all agree on that? So here's a redesign. The 'Planeteers' (probably wouldn't use that) have the ring-based powers separate from Captain Planet himself so they can fight alongside him. The Captain doesn't need to be summoned and has been protecting the planet from intergalactic and extra-dimensional threats for tens of thousands of years. Plus there would still be stuff about pollution and conservation but not so preachy and ham-fisted.Related content

Wondered what the Planeteers would look like actually wielding their elements. If anything, I hope their powers don't have that silly "Pollution's around, so we can't use our powers" thing.

This looks freaking awesome. Now I want them to remake the show with you as the head character design. Only how would you make Maintee interesting?

I know can't be the only who might have thought of this but I still ask...Is just me? Or would Captain Planet work better (if tweaked of course) if they put it in world of the Avatar The Last Air Bender? Like something weird happens and they need 5 benders (Heart being spirit/Energy bending) to summon the Avatar or something?

I've never watched that, in fact I'm only vaguely aware of it, I wouldn't know where to start with a redesign of a show I have no knowledge of.

Captain Planet is honestly a really powerful hero, but he needs a less...silly show to show that, I suppose.

I just watched an entire marathon of Captain Planet recently. My god, that show was graphic even for an educational show.

I REALLY love this design - and the overall layout looks fantastic. But... I'm not entirely convinced on your premise. I have to admit, I did enjoy the original series - as corny as it was, and so perhaps I am a little biased. But, if Cap himself has been "protecting" the planet for that long...why is there still shit happening to the planet, and why do the "Planeteers" need to fight alongside him? I'm not dissing your idea, just based on your description I think it needs further development to make it interesting and the characters developed so they're not just there for the sake of being 'people who can wield power rings'. Having said that, I think there is a lot of potential here and I'd love to see more art developed for your concept

An interesting approach. I was wondering if Captain Planet could possibly be redesigned in a way that would make the serie look great. Seems you did quite a good job at that...

Im thinking about reviving the series as an anime and would also make the enviromentalist theme more hidden but great art

This I would want to see. I didn't really like the show, but this I would watch. I would also like to see character development for the villains, especially Duke Nukem.
