Yes, it does. But not immediately. We (the LGBT) community need to keep breaking down the barriers, standing strong against those who seek to belittle us (but never striking back. Anti-homophobic behaviour is more destructive than it is helpful) and constantly showing them that we are humans beings who are the same as they are. Only then we will be able to achieve acceptance.

yeah it has been a week since my "coming out" and i think i can handle it. But then again, i have been in college all this week so i still think my mom is gonna put my ass on fire XD !!!! btw thanks for the replay it really helps
