Still stabbing my eyes out with two commissions that I'm trying new things with (perspective WTH?!!?) so I thought I'd throw this up in the meantime.

Another shot of my Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon from the Sailor Moon Sailor Stars Manga. Only ever seen in about 5 panels near the end when she's standing in a graveyard with three freshly dug graves for Sailor Moon, Chibi Chibi and Princess Kakyuu, Papillon is the Soul Hunter, guiding the souls of the dead Star Seeds.

Debuted at Sakura Con 2010 in Seattle WA, with a huge ass Sailor Moon Stars group that was full of every possible rarely seen senshi (included Guardian Cosmos, as cosplayed by *Pink-Bunnie ) and would you believe that there wasn't a single duplicate cosplayer? (atleast at our shoot anyway, there was a bigger shoot earlier in the day but due to wing span and limited mobility, we missed that one)

Few notes on construction:

Bra was well..a bra, covered with the shiney purple which was then painted with black puffy paint to get that "scaled" look. Then I took dark blue and teal fabric paints to it for a neat multicoloured effect. Arm warmers, choker, leg bands an waist band all painted with the same technique.

as well the overall construction of this thing (I just paint, I have no sewing skills whatsoever) also beaded the circlet and pieced together the wings. Wings are layers of craft foam, cut into all separate shapes and glued together for a more 3-D look, with wire through the layers for stability. Must invest in either more wire, or stronger wire should these ever be redone.

Overall, LOVE this cosplay
