Went with a darker tone with this one and had OH so much fun capturing the OTHER side of Blessed Kiss of the Scarab that I'm sure she would prefer to keep under lock and key now that she's trying to redeem herself. >.>
What prompted her to switch modes to this? Perhaps something happened to her Lover? Only she knows, but it does seem she might be enjoying whatever slaughter she's wandering through maybe a little too much. *coughs*

Hi there! I've chosen you as the 114th person for my 200 Comments Project Challenge. Basically I'm giving comments to 200 different people in a time frame within a week
The song is simply badass and I think it suits the character quite well in my opinion. She's a very strong fighter from the way her body is quite toned and not only that, but she's beautiful as well :3 The overall attention is details is what impressed me the most from the blood dripping over some parts of her to her black wings in the background. Awesome work!

i totally love it for all the above reasons and more
the fabric looks great. the emotion is wonderful, and its lovely to have a picture of scarab from before she 'got nice'
not a big fan of the wings in the background (they're quite neat in their own way, i'm just not entirely feeling it)

I really did want to do something different with her cuz everything else I've seen of her is the "quiet, content, somber" type. I think I might do a matching Dances to this for your next set if you're okay with that?
As for the wings, they're more implied for atmosphere, I didn't think she actually had them, but I can see what you mean. If you like, the printed version I send you, I can take the wings out. It's not that hard to do.

Fantastic job on the fabric, I can't stop looking a the little ripples over her tummy. Did you use reference? And I love that it's off center. I'm a big fan of unbalanced artwork.

Thanks! I love off center pieces too. Just seems to add some sort of dynamic to it that wouldn't otherwise be there in a centered one. And to answer your query, I actually did not use reference for this one. When it comes to clothes I rarely do unless its uber amounts of fabric that folds in a strange way I've not much experience with like this one: [link]
Trying to explain how I did this one is kinda funny. When it came to the inking stage, I just wiggled my hand and pen occasionally for the ripples then once I determined light source, I followed the "Higher bumps = lighter, under those = darker" sort of mentality. Then I whipped the gel pen sort of wherever I felt like.

I love the colors! Initially, I didn't like the background but now I see it brings out the centerpiece of the picture more! Great technique!

Thank you! I know what you mean! I tried a couple different backgrounds and got my roommates opinions, and out of them all, this one won out. It does seem to draw the attention in and enhance some of the detail.
