I have a reaaaally realy big FAVOR to ask I am hoping you could help me out.
I was wondering if you could break down the shapes or forms of how you draw the tanks and planes... or how do you draw them live? I know their is a need for grid lines and boxes but the thing is how do I put them in proportion? what do I look for? where and how do I start? I am really inspired by your work.

Thanks for the kind words! The way I draw them is I will first lightly lay in the basic shapes of the object. So for the tank, It would basically be a box shape on top of another box, in perspective. For the proportions, the most important measurements for any vehicle is the number of wheel lengths apart each wheel is. So, for something like a tank, look at how many wheels long it is. Set up those wheels in perspective by lining up their centers along a single line.
The next most important measurement for proportion is the height of the vehicle... again, using the wheel height is good. Most tanks are about 3 wheels tall, so keep that in mind. Pay attention to how tall the tank's turret is, in terms of number of wheels. Is it 1 wheel tall? 1.5 wheels tall? etc. Don't get caught up in the details.
Planes are a little harder to measure because they're so organic. Basically, the shapes are cylinders with a slight curve to them. Using perspective lines is very important here... draw them as if they are the centers of each cylinder. Cylinders for the main body, each engine, etc.
Hope this helps!
