Of course, they could be contemplating some guy on the beach... or a factory outlet mall, for all I know
I took this shot of Koni (left) and Alice (right) on the fishing pier, near the lighthouse on Sanibel Island, Florida. That's Koni's husband, Chuck, in the left of the frame (seated).
We really had an excellent time visiting and running around the island with Chuck and Koni

Okay, try this.... She wants to be shot by candle light. She also doesn't have a tendency to sit still very long. SO, to get the shot she wants, I need at the least a 50mm f/1.4 prime lens. Better yet would be a 17mm~28mm f 1.4 lens. Either that, or I can create the illusion, with a couple of studio lights and a mottled background set about 6 feet or so behind her, with no other light in the room. I know the shot she really wants, I just can't do it with what I have available...yet. Dad has the Studio lamps, I'd just have to put the tracks up on the ceiling of the livingroom...
WMS is really a lot easier, I have all the equipment for that!
