This is my TRON: Legacy costume for MegaCon 2012. I wasn't trying to be any particular character from the movie. Just a program from The Grid.

We had to make a duct tape dummy of my entire body to do this. The base catsuit was rubberized lycra and could not be sewn flat. After sewing on the white lycra stripes, the dummy couldn't help anymore.

We actually had to sew on the EL wire while the suit was ON me. Now THAT's trust. The battery pack to run the EL Wire was hidden in a pouch sewn into my sports bra. We had to hammer an eyelet into the back of the suit to run the wire inside.

The bra itself was actually sewn to the suit along with the Gear Tie we found at WalMart. We used that to make a hook so that the identity disc could be taken on and off my back.

The disc is just a toy.

It was a really fun costume and excellent weekend. As a costume maker I consider myself completely incompetent, so if I can do this, anyone can. Give it a try!
