Bio:
The Cane Toad was originally a chemistry teacher at Petropolis High School named Arthur J. Toadsworth. He always taught his classes with a laid-back and calm demeanor, and would use strict but fair teaching methods to ensure that his students don't get overly-stressed by the complicated science formulas. Because of this, he became a favorite amongst the students and faculty alike, and was voted one of the best teachers in Petropolis by the Paw Street Journal. But, when Kitty Katswell attended his classes, Arthur was more than a teacher to her. He was one of the few friends she had growing up, and he helped her get through pretty tough situations throughout school.
Unfortunately, Arthur didn't realize that he had been using illegal chemicals in his lectures. Once TUFF got word of this, they came over to the high school at the end of the day to arrest him. Arthur tried to explain the agents that he didn't know that he's been using illegal chemicals, but before he do anything to defend his claim, TUFF had them removed, and he got fired from the school. He eventually turned to a life of crime, and covered himself with some of the chemicals he was able to recoverΒ to make himself extremely poisonous. From that day forward, Arthur became the infamous supervillain, the Cane Toad.
Years later, the Cane Toad decided to get back at Petropolis by inventing a ray gun that will poison the city's water supply. But, he didn't count on TUFF sending a team of highly skilled TUFF agents to interfere with his plans. So, after their first encounter, Cane Toad sent his minions to kidnap Stan and Elvis, and threatened to poison them if the city doesn't surrender to him. Team Katswell eventually caught up to him, rescued Stan and Elvis, and were able to destroy his ray gun before he could use it to poison the city.
But, after defeating him, Kitty was shocked to learn that the Cane Toad was actually her old teacher, Mr. Toadsworth. A side effect from the chemicals that gave the Cane Toad his toxic skin caused Arthur to resurface, and he instantly recognized his favorite student. He apologized to Kitty and her team for what he did as the Cane Toad, and even though she forgave her teacher, Kitty still had him arrested, and taken to jail. Since then, Arthur has been on a quest to rid himself of his criminal alter-ego, but the Cane Toad always finds a way to resurface, and became a common foe against Teams Katswell and Shinobi.
Personality & Traits:
The Cane Toad suffers from a split-personality, constantly ping-ponging back and forth from nice Arthur J. Toadsworth and villainous Cane Toad. As Arthur Toadsworth, he's very calm and laid-back, and always willing to help out in any way he can. But, as the Cane Toad, he's ruthless and merciless, and would have half a mind to throw a baby off a bridge. Arthur is currently trying in vain to rid himself of his dark side, but sometimes the urge to be bad can be TOO strong for him to comprehend.
His split-personality often made him a mixed bag amongst heroes and villains alike, but Kitty herself still sees her old teacher struggling to get out of the Cane Toad. Back in high school, Arthur was one of the few people that understood Kitty's social problem, and would often drag her out of class just to have a quick chat with her. But, when he was fired from his job, Kitty was left with one less friend to help her get through her life. Even when he was the Cane Toad, Kitty stills visitsΒ him at Petropolis prison every once in a while.
Aside from his split-personality, the Cane Toad has an odd obsession with gummy candy (particularly gummy flies) because he thinks eating real bugs is disgusting. He also doesn't like it when people remind him of the day he was fired. He was unaware that the chemicals he used during his classes were illegal since 1933, which makes him gullible at times. But, he's still a competent and brilliant individual who's trying to free himself from the Cane Toad's evil grasp.
Well, that's the Cane Toad's update for "TUFF: Team Katswell."
Whaddaya think, guys?

Man, just looking at this guy makes me wonder how he ever became a teacher. lol I know this is what he looks like when he "changes," but still! He's one tough toad for sure, and it's really messed up how he became evil. It's really unfair, since he didn't even know about the chemicals. Either way, it was nice to know that he was friendly to Kitty before he got all half-crazy, half-innocent on her.

Yeah, it's pretty strange for sure, man.
Oh, yeah. At least we know that not all of Kitty's enemies are total jerks to her.
