Part 3 - Retribution

Luthor had laid out his plans in detail to the clone, how she would replace Wonder Woman, and infiltrate the Watchtower, and hence glean invaluable information for Lex and his newly formed consortium, The Injustice League.

Never had one man been so confident…… so sure of victory. Luthor could taste it.

Seconds later, the only thing he could taste, apart from his own blood, was Wonder Woman’s fists, solidly connecting with his face, his jaw breaking almost instantaneously, his body slumping violently back in to his chair, his world gradually growing blurred.

*Wonder Woman knew her chance would come….at some stage they would have to remove the lasso from around her wrists…and when that moment came……..

She had felt no remorse as she cocooned the clone in the same wrapping she had been destined for. This was, after all, not living tissue, but a machine. It couldn’t feel pain, sorrow, love or any human emotion.

And when the Toymaker had returned, she played her part to perfection!*

The Amazon Princess now stood before another of her would-be captors, concern etched on her face. Despite everything he had tried to do to her, (the plan had been his idea after all) her main concern was for the man beaten by her own hands, and now slumped before her. As she looked upon him, she couldn't bring herself to feel elated at her victory, just sorrow that it had had to come to this..

Look out Wondie……don’t spend too much time fretting about Luthor….Mercy is still in this game!!!
