Description It's similiar with this: tultsi93.deviantart.com/art/I-… That's my opinion, again. You don't need to agree.

The reasons why do I think so, are

1) It's easier to read: Chapters are written with a style even child can understand it and is willing to read it. (Because it's originally children's book, of course.) I love the way Tolkien wrote The Hobbit, the book will attract readers to read more, even though it would give a headache. I have Autism and I think reading Lord of the Rings is difficult sometimes. Chapters are too long, even longer.

2) Characters are awesome: Not bad, but Frodo and Sam are boring! Well, Frodo is boring and Sam is annoying. Think Two Towels and Return of The King. Half of them are just Frodo and Sam! Who wants to read half book only about those two hobbits? (Luckily other halfs are about other characters.) The Hobbit cast instead is more interesting: Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the Gray, Thorin Oakenshield (okay, I hate Thorin, but he's better than Sam...), Azog, Beurn, Smaug, Bard, Tauriel... I know Tauriel's not Tolkien's own character, but she's so great that I must to add her there! And I know, Azog in book is dead. My favorite character is Bilbo himself, because he's not a hero or a warrior, that makes everyone identify with him. Even I do. We both love food, comfort and precision, and we both can be brave when it's needed.

3) It's the first books I've readen: The Hobbit made me to read books more and interduced me into Tolkien's world. So, of course I love it more than Lord of the Rings.

The Hobbit > Lord of the Rings

Oh, for a moment I thought you were going to talk about the movies.  That changes what I was about to say.

I actually kinda agree.  The Hobbit is an easier and more enjoyable read, partially because it's aimed at little children who aren't expected to memorize geneologies, maps, and so forth.  It was also a more typical fairy tale complete with the dragon being slain by a hero.

Also, the movies for The Hobbit were pretty fantastic, including stuff from the appendices and other material that Peter Jackson had rights to... and a reference that barely passed legal, I'm sure, to two wizards that Gandalf knew, due to Peter Jackson *not* having the rights to those materials.  And having seen all three movies, I don't know how they could've been anything but three movies, they were packed pretty tight to begin with.

That being said, I still appreciate Lord of the Rings and I'm taking my time re-reading it.  The prose is a bit hard to read but it adds a certain charm.

(As for what I was gonna say about movies, it was gonna be "Of course The Hobbit is better than Lord of the Rings, everyone had practiced on Lord of the Rings, CGI made large advances, and the script was made with practiced minds.)

I'm so happy I'm not the only one who thinks in that way. Yeah, LotR is great, but it's difficult.
