I love the details engineered into 50's automobiles. Like the hood ridges on this Buick nose made to emulate contrails flowing from the wing tips of the jet hood ornament. Just too cool.Related content

i agree. i also feel american automobiles loss something in the late 70s early 8os that they are having trouble getting back

I think it's funny. We have computers and CAD programs that could make this sort of design possible even on the cheapest car but they choose not make anything like this anymore. Not sure why. I'm sure if someone made mid-range luxury car that was cheap enough that everyone could afford and include some designs like this, it would sell.

I agree. It seems there is almost a resurgence in automobile design returning to the classic individuality of the car....... ie; fiat, ford and nissan....
