Description
The original sketch/lineart of this was done in my sketchbook using a normal, cheap ballpoint pen.
Which I really love using for sketches and such since it sketches really lightly and makes that lovely messy lineart look I adore.
...
Then I just speedpainted in the colors and such, maybe someday to be refined and detailed up a bit more than this version.
Also, I LOVE drawing palm trees, even if they don't look like a normal palm tree. XDD;;;

Absolutely beautiful. You have a natural eye for colour and this image feels saturated in a hot beach atmosphere because of it.

Great job! I think you should put shapes in the clouds if you ever redo the piece. Like turtles or something, haha. Good use of shade, too. You've really come a long away since I've known you.

this is really, really amazing! I love it! It looks even better than the black and white version which was amazing alone! I really love all of the colors and shadows. Plus, sometimes you do a face that just really, really clicks and looks more amazing than usual, and I would say that this is one of those!

I like how you make your people not stare right at you! I'm bad when it comes too that T^T Plus I never really attempted doing scenery on photoshop...maybe I should try! And I love drawing with ballpoint pens, I doodle so much with them at school xDD

Haha, =Silenrea said the same thing on this drawing, about how she also likes how I rarely draw my characters looking straight ahead.
First off I actually have a hard time with keeping both sides of the face looking symmetrical, so I prefer 3/4 angles. XD;;
And secondly, yeah it's awkward when they're looking right at you. It's a staring contest you can't win. XDD;;;

First, I want to say that I love the detail on the palm tree leaves. I also love the clouds, due to their positioning right behind the focus of the image. It gives it a serene feel while in the shade of said palm tree.
Also, for some reason, I just love how the eyes are not looking FORWARD. It is such a common thing to usually see, and having that not be the case is always refreshing. I am sure I had more to say...but I forget.
Anyway, overall I love it. Good work, again. ^^

I can't stand when a character is looking straight at you. xD;;;
It just seems... awkward. I like making it like it's a spontanous photo or something where they're looking at something else in the distance or whatnot.

I know what you mean, but I don't mind it if they look right ahead, just that it is not quite as strong an impact all the time.
