I like the selective highlights, they really make the smooth rubbery/vinyl(?) texture stand out, and make the black really look black. It's hard to shade black without making it look like dark gray. (Well okay, it's hard for me...)

I do love the contrast of colors in this. The red is almost missed, before the contrast at the bottom draws you in, and makes you rethink what you're seeing the figure rise from...
