Description
Some uncolored sketches of Lanying's parents, the Xifengs. You might remember that they're Java green peafowl, not Indian peafowl like Shen. I gave Jie a different crest, not because I wanted him to be funny-looking, but because Java greens really do have crests that are more upright and that's the best I could get it to look. I pinned down Yue's headfeathers, pretty much because I wanted to differentiate her from Lanying. Jie's eye markings are again just to make him look different from Shen, and I gave them both markings around their necks, because I figure that something has to visually establish the Xifengs as a family.Kung Fu Panda (C) Dreamworks
