I think Turbo would be one of those guys that judge the quality of a video game by the graphics alone and not their actual gameplay, kinda like what Sega tried to pull back in the early 90's.
I'm sure out there there would be retro-enthusiasts that would've still loved playing TurboTime since Road Blasters wasn't a straight up carbon-copy of TurboTime.
If the game they brought into the arcade was Super Sprint, then I'd understand why Turbo would be mad at it stealing his thunder. But then again Turbo's still a corrupt man who gets jealous easily, so I bet any racing game, no matter what kind (either top down or head-on) would get him the wrong way.

It's a good point! Many cabinets still live in Litwak's arcade because they become a classic like Pac-Man, Wreck-it Ralph or Space Invaders. In the world of Wreck-it Ralph, Turbotime is a great classic, so if Turbo never "going Turbo", he still here today...

It is very possible that Turbotime would still be plugged in in other arcades as it was primarily the Turbo from Litwak's Arcade that was corrupt and determined to destroy any potential competition his game may have come across. If you look into it each arcade would have their ownΒ Game Central Station with their own games and who knows, maybe the Turbos that are still out there are quite nice and heroic compared to the one at Litwak's, while out there there would be a Fix-it-Felix that got unplugged one way or another.
