Description
NGC 6188, also known as the fighting dragons of Ara, is an emission nebula located in the southern sky. It is so named due to the uncanny resemblance of its dark molecular clouds to two menacing dragons in combat. Above the stellar nursery is NGC 6164, a bipolar planetary nebula.
