Description
The moon, shot via prime focus through an 8" f/4 Newtonian Telescope. This was the first shot of the moon taken with this telescope. The collimation was way off, and there was a layer of altostratus clouds in the way. Despite this, I am very pleased with the amount of detail I could pull out of the shot - more than what I could do with my 6" Schmidt Cass on a clear night.
